What A Damn Night

Kay-Kay

My girls and I pulled up in Chocolate City's parking lot straight stuntin’ and ready to give the haters something to frown their faces up about. The parking lot was filled with all flavors of whips, from old school rides sitting on new school chrome, to the latest model trucks and whatnot.

I was feeling at ease because the lie I'd told Choppa had went over without him even trippin’ on me.

Choppa said that he’d be handling business all night and Nine would prob’ly ride to Chi-Town with him to pick up a few bricks. That was good ‘cause then I’d get to stay out even later.

All three of us stepped outta my ride with our hoochie mama gear on. I wore a silver Ralph Lauren dress that was so tight you would’ve sworn I glued it to me. Alize wore a white Michael Kors fitted dress with gold stilettos, while my girl Shay sported a Dolce & Gabbana, sky blue fitted mini-dress that I bought for her with a pair of Dolce & Gabbana silver strapped, six-inch heels.

I hit Young King up on his cell phone, and he sent a bouncer out to escort us right on in. We caught the hard stares from those who had been standing in line, prob’ly hours, waiting to get in.

We walked in the club, switching our asses like we were in competition to become the next Miss America. The club was packed from wall to wall. Females were standing around looking with their fresh nails, outfits, and weaves. Some of the hairstyles looked good, like they had been in the hair shop all day to obtain that perfect hairdo. I silently gave props to the true divas, while shaking my head at those with cheap weaves and K-mart attire. Chocolate City was not the place for that.

"We're going up to the second level, to VIP," shouted the bouncer over the loud music. We stayed on his heels.

The crowd was so thick I thought we’d never make it up. We walked up all thirty-five steps until we got to the top. He told us to sit at a table reserved for us with three chairs. This section had plenty of local rappers and high rollers who were sitting at their reserved tables rolling up phat blunts, smoking blacks, and sippin’ on the best liquor. I saw Grey Goose, Moet, and Cristal on the tables surrounding us. I could see the stage perfectly from our view where Young King would perform.

“What y’all wanna drink?” the muscular framed bouncer asked. “Young King says you entitled to whatever you like. It’s all on him.”

“Can you bring me a bottle of Grey Goose?” I answered.

“Yep,” he replied.

“Thank you.”

“I’ll be back. Just give me a minute,” he said and disappeared downstairs and into the crowd.

The club owner came upstairs and started walking around welcoming everyone to his club, nodding, and shaking hands with the guest. He seemed happy, prob’ly because it was his birthday and a huge crowd was at the club to celebrate.
